Welcome to the S.A.C.C.I forum! January 12th, 2009 UPDATED!! Hello everyone and happy New Year. We have much to look forward to in 2008. Our club is ready to begin operating in full official capacity. I would like to thank our initial directors and members for making all this possible. We will now begin to accept official memberships. The application will be available on our site in the upcoming weeks. All of the initial members will be sent one directly. Our conformation and working point formats along with the awards are now in place. We will begin accepting Championship points this year. The official format and win sheet is now available on our site. We will base the 2007 Conformation year awards on the combined total of ARBA and RARITES points earned during 2007. The members who have accumulated the most total points will simply need to e-mail the info to our show director no latter then Feb 15. After verification we will announce the award winners. The 2008 conformation awards will of course be based on our regular format. The 2007 working awards will be based on our regular format. Again all members send your info to our working director no later then Feb 15. At this time I am very happy to announce we will soon have an official affiliation with the American working dog federation AWDF. The AWDF is the only official FCI recognized working organization in North America. They have much to offer and will be a benefit to our breed and our members. I thank this organization for allowing us to participate with them and look forward to a great relationship. Our 2008 regional specialtys will soon be announced. And of course we will have a National specialty in October. As everyone now knows we fell short in our attempt to achieve AKC parent breed club status. Our constitution will need to be amended accordingly. The amendment processes is underway and please take the time to vote on this when you receive it. Once again without the restraints of AKC we are able to pursue many other avenues that are important for our breed. The American working dog federation is a prime example. Other avenues outside of the United States include accepting membership’s world wide. We look forward to many more great things during this upcoming year for our club and our breed. Thank you all.
